Ahead of the Game


Our History


For the past year, our team has been dedicated to bringing equality to the world of sports in the bay area. We started with the idea that we could accept old sports gear as donations and redistribute them to the underpriviliged youth. We decided that to better aid the underpriviliged youth of San Francisco we would hold free sports clinics. These have taken off and hundreds of kids have been able to experience the magic of sports at these clinics. Under the direction of the Student Launch Initiative at Sacred Heart Cathedral, we have expanded our orginization and continue to create new ways to serve the community.

You have the power to make a meaningful impact on a child’s life by donating now. We use these funds for a variety of different reasons, but the main one is more sports equipment. You can be the reason that a kid is able to participate in sports and gain skills and friendships they will carry with them for the rest of their lives! Your donations make possible the profound impact our organization can have on kids that is extremely important for their growth and health. Join and Make a Difference

If you haven’t had the chance to take part in Ahead of the Game, it’s not too late! We hold multiple clinics every week around the city at Up on Top and the Boys and Girls Club. If you or someone you know is a youth that hasn’t been able to participate in sports for economic reasons, please come! You will have a blast, make friends, and learn new skills! If you’re in high school or out of high school, we can always use more volunteers and partners. No matter who you are, you can help in some way. Our clinics are fun for both the children and our volunteers. We’re grateful that you considered us and we hope that you can contribute to our mission!
